This unit gives an overview of the strategic management values of BIM in the construction industry by comparing it to traditional processes. It will also enable the learner to understand the overall operation of BIM in terms of information workflows, protocols and data sharing.
The Learning material is organised in an easy-to-navigate presentation. The content is structured into smaller sections of information which is accessed via a dashboard at the beginning of the presentation. This gives the learner the ability to access information based on their own requirements, needs and current understanding.
Once all of the topic’s learning material is viewed (covered) it is recommended that the learner checks the FAQ to expand understanding of some of the key topic’s issues. Some topics have either a case study and some have a multiple choice question quiz, both these are useful to further understand the topic.
